Directed by Debra Wise and David Keohane, with John Kuntz as M.C.
In March 2025, the CCC’s inaugural event and first cabaret, The Warm-Up, was held at Arrow Street Arts in Cambridge, MA. Performers gathered for an evening of theater and music. This sold-out show at a theater in Harvard Square featured singers, theater pieces, puppets, poetry, spoken word, and a theater-lobby street-fair with climate activist tables and climate-friendly concessions.
The final act brought real scientists onto an imagined stage 40 years in the future where they shared climate solutions and challenges.
Scientist Rebellion activists and scientists discussed not only their work but also their own fears and hopes. It was presented as the celebrated finale of the cabaret program with a few of the scientists playing themselves in a fictional future.
